As a new business (overview & background), with a formal launch date of 1st January 2021, The 200 Club is looking to build its brand and raise awareness with the help of journalists, bloggers, vloggers and networkers.

We believe the main reason 35% of the population doesn't exercise enough is NOT cost, knowledge or a lack of time. It's a lack of motivation. Most of us need a push to move more. That's what The 200 Club is here for.

What is The 200 Club?

The 200 Club is an online club with a primary aim of motivating people to do more exercise. You have to earn 200 points per week, ideally with 150 points coming from exercise (any form of exercise qualifies) and 50 points coming from our weekly wellness challenges.

To help people achieve their weekly points we provide three workouts (Mon, Wed, Fri). They are 30 mins (30 points) each. The weekly Wellness challenges include simple, achievable tasks to help make improvements to our lifestyle (nutrition, mental health etc).

The 200 Club was formed as a temporary online solution for a small community gym in Surrey, in June 2020 in response to the first UK Covid lockdown. Due to the immediate popularity of the concept and content The 200 Club grew to 700 members within four weeks.

It closed in July 2020 when gyms were permitted to re-open but was launched again in November 2020 due to the second UK Covid lockdown. We are currently having an App developed and The 200 Club will be launched as a standalone business on 1st January 2021.

Current operation

While The 200 Club App is developed (launch 1st Jan 2021) we are operating via WhatsApp and Social Media to motivate people and send the three weekly workouts. We have (Nov 2020) 600 members, access is completely free of charge and the current aim is to raise awareness of The 200 Club and build a following ahead of the formal launch on 1st Jan 2021.

Media mention

In June, less than a month from starting The 200n Club BBC Surrey Radio gave us airtime to help raise awareness.
